This is a lovely melodic piece written in the style of the beloved Moonlight Sonata.  It should be played at a moderate speed with emphasis on the melody over softer triplets and chords.   A slight rubato and delicate dynamics can be added as the performer wishes since I have deliberately left the score relatively free of  dynamics which allows the performer to participate in creating his own unique interpretation of the music.

Technically this piece presents an ideal opportunity for the student to learn independent dynamics for both hands.   The accompaniment should always be softer … a supportive murmur behind the more resonant melody.
