Sonatina No.1 Opus 420 ( Third Movement) “Finale”

Tricky

This final movement of the Sonatina No. 1 features a classical motif which is delightfully enhanced by a variety of unexpected rhythm changes.  Count very carefully and be sure not to accent the beats incorrectly.  Triplets sneak their way into the exposition and then take over the development section as sextupets.   Remember the stress is on the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes in the classical septuplet.

This movement should be played at a moderate pace, lightly and with some rubato.  I have included very few dynamics, leaving the details of performance to the individual.
